Its headquarters, Villa Guastavillani, is a historic building dating back to 1575 – with large and valuable halls and classrooms largely frescoed – which welcomes hundreds of students, professors, and university researchers every year.
IDF had the honor of being able to take care of the final and executive design of the fire protection systems, as well as the related construction management.
The high occupancy, the age of the building, and the architectural-cultural constraints have led to strong limits to be respected during the engineering activity and subsequently in the construction phase.
Our technicians, in dealing with this type of intervention, had to solve the typical criticalities present in a historic building, knowing how to provide suitable and compliant solutions to high standards.
