PROJECT
The Rylands Building is a Grade II listed building and former department store on Market Street in Manchester, England. Was built in the 1930s and is situated in the Smithfield conservation area, which was known for its markets and textile warehouses. Rylands Building is under redevelopment to provide office, retail, and leisure spaces, as well as a four-storey roof-top extension.

CHALLEGES
The building, constructed in three phases almost a century ago, has a composite structure frame and a massive floor area of around 45000 square meters.
